Three Decades of Eurogum

EUROGUM started as an independent Danish manufacturer of carrageenan and alginate. Founded by Mikael Eriksen in 1994 and merged into Bang & Bonsomer Group in 2023, its head office is located just 10 km away from the city centre of Copenhagen, the capital and largest city of Denmark.

The EUROGEL® brand is marketed globally through a network of highly qualified distributors. Continuous product development, innovation, and consistent quality control, combined with proximity to the market and the ability to meet customers’ needs, have been the main parameters of EUROGUM’s success and growth. Efficient logistics ensure reliable, flexible, and timely deliveries. Together with its distributors, EUROGUM has achieved a leading position in Europe and is expanding its position in several overseas markets.

EUROGUM’s Main Focus

The main focus of EUROGUM is the customisation of food technology, carrageenan and alginate solutions for individual applications and customers. EUROGEL’s products add value to processed meat, desserts, confectionery, dairy and many other products. Each EUROGUM product is designed for a specific application — and most of our products are developed in collaboration with actual customers. EUROGUM is constantly exploring new areas and applications where carrageenan and/or alginate could be used.
